Val Bonney is considered one of the leading Dog Trainers in Australia and is highly regarded by the industry. Val is experienced in all aspects of training both here and overseas. She is the only lay member of the West Virginian Police Canine Association, having covered Bomb Detection Work, Drug Detection, Agility, Protection Tracking, and Obedience under their direction in 1996. 1998 saw Val and two of her trainers attending lectures in Hawaii and Maui. Val delivered Lectures on 'The Australian Wild Dog - The Dingo' at this conference to over 90 trainers from around the world.
Val is a Senior Obedience Judge, an active member of several dog clubs and continues to trial her own dogs in competition. Val is founding member of the Dog Obedience Trainers Association (D.O.T.A) Queensland. For more than 11 years Val has worked closely with The University of Queensland (St. Lucia campus) in their TESOL program for Japanese Students visiting Brisbane to further their education, . The biggest training School in Japan sees Val there every year (for the past 11 years), participating in Judging and Training.
Val and her trainer Chanelle, will be visiting Kyoto as well as MATSUYAMA and IMABARI and also Teipei and Hong Kong on this trip.
