Can multiple people attend with the dog?Absolutely! We encourage families to attend and be part of their dog’s training journey. Having everyone involved helps create consistency in training and strengthens your bond with your furry friend. However, we have some location-specific guidelines to ensure the best experience for everyone attending. Location-Specific Guidelines with Links For The Gap, Aspley, and Enoggera Puppy Classes: You’re welcome to bring up to 4 family members along to these classes, as these venues have plenty of space to accommodate everyone comfortably. Here’s where you’ll find us: Aspley: Held at Marchant Park, 317 Murphy Road, Aspley, at the top of the park near Metro Dog Club. Classes are conducted on Monday nights. 👉 View on Google Maps – Marchant Park The Gap: Classes are held on the oval behind St Peter Chanel School and Church, 42 Chaprowe Road, The Gap. 👉 View on Google Maps – St Peter Chanel School Enoggera: Best Mates and Unleashed are conducted at Ferguson Park, Enoggera on Sundays. 👉 View on BrisParks – Ferguson Park Puppy Classes are held at 21 Gizeh Street, Enoggera on Sundays. For Red Hill (Puppy Magic Classes): Since the venue is smaller, we ask that only 2 people attend with the puppy if possible. Red Hill sessions are held at Red Hill Veterinary Clinic, 251 Enoggera Terrace, Red Hill, with a maximum of 6 puppies per session (preferred but not guaranteed). 👉 View on Google Maps – Red Hill Vet Additional Information Younger Children (Ages 1-7): Please note that while children are welcome, they may find the session less engaging after the initial 30 minutes of excitement. Children Under 10: We kindly request that all children under the age of 10 be accompanied by a responsible adult. Ideally, we suggest bringing two adults if possible—one to manage the dog and the other to supervise the child. This ensures the handler can concentrate fully on the training while keeping the experience enjoyable for everyone. If you have any further questions about class locations or attendance, feel free to contact us through the form on our website or give us a call directly. We’re here to help!

I would like to socialise my dog, can you help?Yes, we certainly can! 🐾 Socialisation is a crucial part of raising a confident, well-adjusted dog, and we offer several group courses and classes designed for dogs of all ages and skill levels. Whether you have a young puppy or an older dog, we have a course that will help you socialise your dog in a safe and supportive environment. How Our Socialisation Works While we don’t currently run any pure socialisation-only courses or classes, we incorporate socialisation practice into all of our group training sessions. This means that while you and your dog work on obedience and key skills, you’ll also have plenty of opportunities to interact and socialise with other dogs in a safe, structured environment. Arrive Early: We encourage all clients to arrive at least 20 minutes before class starts. This extra time allows handlers and dogs to practice face-to-face introductions using the correct method to socialise. Guided Socialisation: During these introductions, our experienced trainers are available to guide you through the process, ensuring that your dog learns to interact positively with other dogs. Recommended Courses for Socialisation Here are the best courses to help your dog socialise while learning essential obedience skills: Puppy Magic Perfect for puppies between 8 and 18 weeks. Socialisation is a major part of these classes, helping your puppy build confidence around other dogs in a safe setting. Best Mates Designed for dogs over 16 weeks of age, this basic obedience course offers structured socialisation opportunities while working on core commands like sit, stay, recall, and more. Unleashed For those who have completed basic obedience, this intermediate course offers more advanced skills, including off-leash interaction, with controlled socialisation opportunities. Limitless Ongoing weekly classes for dogs with a good foundation in obedience. These sessions are ideal for maintaining socialisation and refining obedience in a fun, relaxed environment. Related Reading on Socialisation For more insight into effective puppy socialisation and how to build positive interactions with other dogs, check out these helpful articles: Puppy Socialisation: The Key to a Well-Behaved Dog This article covers the importance of early socialisation, how to introduce your puppy to different environments, and tips for building confidence. Why Touching Your Puppy is Vital: Building Trust Through Touch Explore how positive touch and physical interaction can help your puppy feel safe and more comfortable around other dogs and new situations. Why Controlled Socialisation Matters Our group classes typically have 8 to 12 dogs with 1 to 2 experienced trainers. This ensures that each dog can interact in a controlled environment where safety and positive behaviour are prioritised. Unlike unstructured play sessions at dog parks, our guided socialisation ensures that your dog learns to read other dogs’ signals, interact politely, and build confidence without becoming overwhelmed. Need Help Getting Started? If you’d like personalised guidance before joining a group class, we also offer: Private Training Sessions: One-on-one socialisation training tailored to your dog’s unique needs.
